Guideline on How To Be Successful

We all have dreams. We all have aspirations in life. However, in a perfect world we expect those closest to us to be our main motivators and supporters. But in reality that, unfortunately, isn’t always the case.

In my 25 years on this Earth, I can honestly tell you that I have prayed and wished for support in my endeavors many a nights, to no avail. I had to get to a point where I no longer needed it.

There’s a famous saying, “You came into this world alone and you will leave this world alone.” Don’t depend on others to keep yourself going, you need to be the one to motivate yourself and execute the plans you have for your life.

I know, that sounds FREEING AF. You’re probably like “hell yeah hell yeah f***ing right f***ing right” or whatever Rihanna said. You’re probably googling LLC costs or trying to purchase a domain for your website (WHICH IS GREAT).

However, did you think about how you’re going to stay motivated after that? Well follow these guidelines below and you’ll surely be successful in whatever you decide to do in life.

Alright rule number one to be a boss a** b**** (LMAO just kidding)!

Believe in what you are doing. If you truly believe in it, then you will put in the work to make it come to life.

What I’ve come to notice is that when most individuals come up with an idea they want to execute, they often remain in the planning stage. Don’t get me wrong, the planning stage is the most crucial part to being successful. You have to research constantly, create checklists, and set goals in order to put out the best product. However, DO NOT STAY IN THE PLANNING STAGE!

It is imperative that you execute your plans. If you do not execute, you’ll never receive any feedback. You can research as much as you want, but the true test is to put your product out there and have your audience review it.

How will you know what you’re doing is right or wrong if nobody sees it? If you keep waiting for the moment your product is perfect, it’ll never reach market. BECAUSE IT WILL NEVER BE PERFECT!

Nothing in this world is perfect, the only thing you can do is listen to reviews and make those changes as you go. But trust me, if you believe in your work, somebody out there will resonate with it.

Have confidence in your intuition when it comes to decision-making. If your gut is telling you to do something, you have to follow what it’s saying. If it’s telling you to move to another state and you can afford it, do that. If your gut is telling you that you need to go back to school, get an internship, gain more experience, put out a project you’ve been working on, then do it.

Some individuals are stagnant because they are comfortable. You have to push past that and get outside of your comfort zone.

You know yourself better than anybody else. You must believe you will be successful. Only you know how far you can go if you just push yourself.

If you do not have family support, that’s what friend groups are for. We don’t choose our family, but we can choose our friends. The friends you choose should be the ones supporting you, promoting you, encouraging you to keep going. If the people you hang out with don’t embody these things, then baby those are not your friends.

If you are selling a product and your friends are always asking for a discount or expect you to give it to them for free, let go of those friends ASAP. People will spend money on or promote whatever they believe in, and if your friends don’t do that for you, then you don’t need and/or want them in your support group.

Rule #4: NETWORK!!!

I can’t say this enough, but YOU NEED TO NETWORK. Networking will change your life! Network with people who are in your field. Those are the ones who will put you on (that’s what the kids are saying these days LOL).

Networking increases your connections,  because whomever you don’t know, someone else will, and they will connect you two together. There are so many people in this world, over 7 billion to be exact, so take advantage of that!

You need to be able to motivate yourself internally. If you fall down, you need to be the one to pick yourself up and keep moving forward. Do not depends on others to get you to where you need to be.

Having dreams, goals, and ambitions come with a price. You will be depressed, you will be stressed, you will feel alone, but YOU need to be the one to know that it is worth it in the end.

If this is your dream you have to put in the work, you have to put in effort in order to achieve success.

All of these rules have everything to do with YOU! YOU are in control of your success. YOU have to believe in your work. YOU have to consistently trust your instincts. YOU choose your friend groups and support system. YOU have to go out and network. And finally, YOU choose to believe in yourself and be your own motivator. Success is 100% dependent on your choices.

And I will say this, if you truly put 100% into what you are doing and you realize this isn’t what you want to do, that is okay. Because what you’re doing now will lead you to the thing that you really should be doing.

Don’t be afraid to fail! Failure is inevitable, but it isn’t permanent. Pick yourself back up and keep going!
